24′ Geo Yurt Design
Construction began this week on our “Model Unit” Geo Yurt. The Model Unit is a 24 foot Geo Yurt that will serve as an example to show the options available to Pre-Purchasers. When the time comes, it will also be a base platform for showing the premium options and add-ons that we will make available as upgrades to the base models.
For example, BJ is digging a potable water supply line and gray water absorption tank under the site where the Model Unit will be located. When it is finished, we will be able to tie into this new water system to show off kitchen add-ons and other special features. He is also adding Electrical conduit and floor-mounted receptacles so the Model Unit will have electricity.
The deck structure for the Model Unit will be made of wood framing on top of concrete block footings. When it it finished BJ will add fir tongue and groove flooring, sanded and finished with polyurethane. Watch this space for updates on the construction of this Model Unit!
